You have periods of feeling battered and periods when you are running on pure adrenalin. Then you come to days like today when you try to sit down and write something about wellbeing. Thankfully, my good friend Steve Tye provided me with the perfect song to reflect on,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/y6vA_McE_No\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fighting Fit<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3dn8CeR\">Gene<\/a>. I could easily relate to the words in the opening verse:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-embed-aspect-16-9\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gene - Fighting Fit (Peel Session)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y6vA_McE_No?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I wanted to be so bold but good words are never easy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I started to think about a picture I saw this week of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3ao2qRe\">Frank Bruno<\/a>&nbsp;with the associated article questioning if he was returning to the ring.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3ao2qRe\">Bruno<\/a>&nbsp;had famously called his battle with mental health the biggest battle he had ever had to win. In reference to this in a recent&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rotarygbi.org\/magazine\/april-may-2020\/frank-bruno\/\">interview<\/a>&nbsp;he commented, \u201cI\u2019ll always get up, it\u2019s the only way I know\u201d. It is this determination, and the support he receives from others that has helped Bruno to continue to battle with his own mental health and help others who are also in the fight themselves. This reminded me of another line from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3dn8CeR\">Gene<\/a>&nbsp;song:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I know I have many flaws, but our love it will shatter all. Take me on and we will conquer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The song speaks of determination in lyrics such as:&nbsp;<em>I will give as good as I get<\/em>. It also speaks of the importance of relationships:&nbsp;<em>Your shoulders act as my strength<\/em>.
